overseas discount calling cards
Folks,
I have family and friends in Australia that i need to call (from my home phone) on a fairly regular basis between now and Christmas and im looking for
a recommendation for one of these international calling cards that gives you a discounted rate.
if its of any significance my home phone is with Virgin.
Any comments welcome.
Thanks

If they have a pc at the other end why not try skype, its easy and you can see video if both have webcams.
You can get cheap calls through skype too although think its easier if you also get a skype handset.
Cheers
Rich
Just checked skypes to phone rate is 2p per min inc vat, dont know how that compares.
Skype to skype is free
Skype to skype
Skype to phone
Bit techie but you could try a sip gateway like this

Use telediscount.co.uk very simple, 1p/min for landline
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

If you are with Virgin you could switch to their Anywhere400 tariff. You can call anywhere in the world at any time for 400 minutes per month
(including mobiles).
It costs me about £17/month
