Engine and delivery?
Having dithered for a long time, I have finally taken the plunge and bought a 2.8 straight 6 BMW engine and box - I really like BMW engines. This
should be good for 190ish HP and potentially a further 30 with an M50 head conversion. Should be an interesting build as there are not many Luegos
with BMW engines around.
However, I already have my first challenge - how do I get it back from a location in the south east to nottingham. Any advice on getting a courier to
do this would be appreciated (is there a recommended one etc). I could just hire a van, but it looks like a more expensive option compared to typical
courier prices that I see on fleabay.
The second issue is that I already have a Rover 3.5 V8 and LT77 box. I will get around to selling this on fleabay in due course, but I was wondering
if anyone knows the history of this specific engine. I got it off Luego when I bought the kit, but it had been in their garage since before Ben
bought the company and I got it as seen, so absolutely no critism of Ben and the team intended or implied!
Pictures of build progress and new engine to follow in due course (assuming that I can get it home!).

Whereabouts in southeast? I could get it to Birmingham next week possibly which is a damn site closer.

Thats an interesting thought, thanks - I might have a better chance of picking it up from there, but would have to look into it as I would still need
a small van. But it would make an easy round trip
The engine is currently in Slough.

Ok, I used a pallet delivery firm thru' ebay when I got my vauxhall redtop from Luton last year - I was extremely impressed with the service - I
recall they charged me £60.
Follow this link, read the insructions and use them with confidence.

When you say the head conversion do you mean the inlet manifold swap from the 2.5? I've heard really good things about this conversion from e36
328 owners and there is plenty of info on this on the e36coupe.co.uk forum if you need any.

Dan - Yes, I do mean the inlet manifold swap. Thanks for the link. I might get the car on the road before I do it though.
Steve, thanks for the link to the delivery firm. I'll give them a call tomorrow

Its the cheapest mod you can do for an easy 20ish bhp what are you going to use to run the engine, standard ecu?

I hadn't really got around to thinking about ECU options so I've not looked into it. I was just going to get going on the standard one
before doing anything else.
