1.6 zetec mini supercharger...

Hi

I have a velocity running a 1.6 zetec on 40 DCOE's and it's all good BUT...

I also have a supercharger from a mini, so has anyone used a mini supercharger on a zetec?? I was thinking bike throttle bodies, ECU, intercooler and dump valve etc.

Any ideas

Thanks Adam

Ive only heard of one in a 7 and that was Lhd. But what a sound http://youtu.be/Ghjc_I1wQ-g

I just dont see how you can route the steering linkage on a Rhd car.

i agree the sound

packaging will always be a problem in a seven, but with the eaton you can mount it the other side, and pipe around the inlet.

I recall someone doing a supercharged crossflow in PPC magazine 6 months back. That was in an older westfield. Check the back issues.

How have you piped it up.

Have you used a dump valve?

What's to stop me using the DCOE carbs I already have and just rejetting.?

Check out my blog at the bottom of each of my posts. theres videos there as well.

Theres nothing stopping you using the DCOE's, but ive never done that and would personally go EFI.

Personally, with a super-charger, I would put the Exhaust straight out over the top of the side rail and with a heat shield arranged like I did in my normally aspirated car, then mount the super-charger under the exhaust.

I would think one of the best guru's on this sort of fit (ok he did a Duratec, rather than a Zetec, but the principles would be the same) would be Flak Monkey. Have a look at his build thread in the engines section (IIRC).

Also of interest to talk to would be Madteg (based in kettering), He built a VERY quick 2.0 Zetec Turbo and knows what their strengths and weekness's are.
