Has anyone ever user “Pay at pump” and not have the money go out their bank?

4 weeks ago, I brimmed my car with 100 quids worth of diesel (yes you can get 100 quid in a Passat estate!) using the pay at pump.

I put my card in, followed the instructions on screen, entered my pin and brimmed my car, then ambled over to the cash machine at the petrol station and withdrew 100 quid cash.

Got in, drove off. 4 weeks later… the cash shows on my online banking as going out instantly but no sign of the diesel!

Not quite the same, But my Father gave both my kids a cheque for £1000 , both were put in there accountswithin hours of getting it and have the money

My Father still has £1000 in his account 4 months later, and one of the cheques has not cleared, but both kids DO HAVE the money

He wont give it to me!!

Once had the same thing at a motor factors, went in twice on same day and bought same thing only one payment came out. Wonder if two payment requests for same amount from same place on same day are viewed as an error somehow and only one gets paid.??

Disgusting isn't it? I managed to put £50 into a 106 by accident:

"Ok PETROL, make sure I have the right one, come on... Ok, dum de dum...
Hmmm, Magnecap, I wonder what that is... must be some magneti-OSH** FOURTY EIGHT POUNDS!"
