Early R1 throttle bodies
The early (01/02) r1 ITB are injection (I can see injectors) but also have large black caps/spring arrangements which I associate with carbs.
Considering using a set on a 2.1 litre car engine but don't want to buy these if they're essentially part carb part injection - can anyone
throw any knowledge at me?

They are throttle bodies the slider arangment works well to smooth out hard throttle acceleration if you are buying some to fit to a pinto I have a
set on a custom manifold correctly spaced with all linkages and using 8 injectors should you to be so bold

The slides can be removed by fitting slide stops. Well it doesn't remove them but holds them open. You shouldn't really need the slides on
a car TB conversion.

If my plans pull off I'll need 2 sets and I'll end up having to make my own manifolds I'm afraid. They seem like reasonable V8 ITBs.
Balancing them may get fun.

Much appreciated! We'll see if the finances stretch to 2 sets after I find a clutch and gearbox
