Over reading rev guage, no problem
Running 893cc 1995 blade engine and standard clocks dials and electrics.
On rolling road setup the tuner told me that the rev limiter comes in at 10500 rpm but that my rev clock was reading about 8500-9000.
No bother I thought.
Then went on track day, noise test guy said please rev to 7000 rpm so I did which was more like 8000 actually so was way too loud 108db.
Is this likely to be a faulty clock or something more serious?

Not sure about blade clocks, but I have an Aprilia rev counter and it has a couple of adjusters on the rear for calibration.

rev limit is 12,000 rpm on a 893/919 blade, if you fit a cbr600 ignition module it will allow it to rev further.
The engine itself is designed to rev to 11,000 rpm.
It is hard keeping a BEC within noise limits, the induction roar and mechanical noise can be as loud as the exhaust !
