Headlight positioning
I'm about to fit my headlight mounts to the Viento, but before I start to drill holes I just want to check something...
In common with most 7's, the headlight mounts are some way back from the front of the nose cone and bolt onto the chassis. i.e. a lot of the
nose cone is above the height of the mounting bracket. When I look at a selection of picture archives, it would appear that most people have
mounted their lights to be just clear of the side of the nose cone (rather than as close as possible to the wheel arches. Therefore, just looking at
where the headlights will go, it looks as though the nose cone will get in the way of some of the beam.
Is the nose interfering with the beam pattern an IVA issue, or am I worrying about nothing?
By the way, I am aware of the requirements for maximum distance in from the outside edge of the car and also max/min height off the ground etc.

As many hundreds of sevenesque cars have passed with there lights in this position, I think that it's not something you should worry about. IMHO

Not sure about the Viento but my Luego Locost has a section moulded into the nose cone to clear the headlight mounting , might be worth checking yours
before doing anything else? Luego supplied the headlight mounting for my car ,ISTR there was one available for the Viento? As Chippy points out
there has been a lot of 7 type cars pass SVA and IVA without any headlight problems as long as the headlights them selves are OK

Yes, the Viento has a section in the nose cone as well for the mounting bracket to go through. I have made my own brackets up, but copied off another
Viento, so I suppose they should be OK, its just that when I trial fitted, I could not see all of the headlight from all angles in front of the car.
As mentioned by Chippy though, lots of 7's have passed with what looks like the same set up, so I guess that I will just press on and see what
happens. I can always take my battery operated drill with me and move the mounting holes out a bit if Mr IVA has a problem.

Steve, There's a bit in the IVA manual re: this - IIRC at least 40% of the light must be visible when standing at 45deg to the opposite front
corner of the car (or something like that) - The Viento passes fine... N.
