Well, I am not using it enough, despite having more time since I retired. (Less money to spend as well )
I really dont want to sell it, as its like its part of me. I spent a lot of time building it, and got very attached with it.
I will still go to Kit Car shows, as they are fun and I still want to meet up with the many friends I have made over the last 8 years.
I have a project in mind, Its been sitting in the garage in bits for about 15 years.
I have a 1954 350cc Matchless Motorbike. I really must rebuild it, so I can sell that on, or its just another pile of junk that will accumulate.
I also want a Motor home to replace my caravan which I sold last year (it was 20 years old).
All of that needs more work and money than I can fund, so the Viento will have to go.
So thats the logic behind it.
Its a good car, and I will probably regret it before its out of the road!

Everytime someone sells their Viento I get all worried that by the time I get mine on the road they'll be just me on the Luego stand at Newark
Show.
Geoff don't do it!!!!! Could you live without the V8 rumble?

Oh Geoff, I know how you feel....I have to sell mine too due to lack of use - however I haven't had the balls to advertise it yet....
I have to say you were one of the first characters i ever met when i was building mine...in fact there is a pic of you 'resting' at Newark
in my photo archive....was a good night.....
It's painful, and as you say it's a part of you having built it, but times change, eh?
Good luck with the sale mate,
Rich.

That's a shame Geoff! It takes a while to persuade yourself when it's time to move on, but IMHo that's hardest bit done.
I'm sure you'll have weighed it up, but could you sit on it until the spring and give yourself the best chance of selling?

geoff if you decide your not going to do anything with the Matchless don't let it rot in the corner my friends dad is mad about them, he has
several all lovingly restored by him, they are all also used and enjoyed regularly
