Duratec crank sprocket

Hi everyone,

Could someone put my mind at rest I am in the midst of fitting a new timing chain onto my 2.0 Duratec, on the new crank sprocket there is on one side a slight bump on it, is it there to be compressed once bolted up with the crank pulley or is it a defect of the sprocket?

Thanks in advance peeps.

Tony......
