Blade 919 engine or alternative?

Hi,

My current blade 919 engine has died and I am having trouble finding another at a fair price.

Another option would be to upgrade to another bike engine if the whole kit was available, but again, would need to be reasonably priced.

Thought I'd post on here to see if anyone has anything lying around that they may want to get rid of?!

Thanks

I have an 893 from a Westfield that I'm not really using at the moment. Would pretty much drop straight in as a quick and cheap replacement. U2U me if you are interested, not after a lot for it.

Thanks for the quick reply but I was hoping for at least a 919 engine really.

I would not be put off with a 893cc blade if its cheap enough, a simple swap for your 919 there is only 4 bhp and a 3ftlbs of torque between them, a well set up correctly jetted 893cc will be as good as a 919cc, and driving them you can't tell the difference.

I have a zx12r a1 engine, it got stripped down by a very well known BEC specialist a few years ago, but the owner decided they were going to upgrade to a busa.

It is still stripped down - I bought it from him, I have all the parts except the generator and one of the engine covers I think. It's all crated up in my garage and has been on the "when I get to it" list for about 3 years!

I'd let it go for very little if you are interested, and its a hell of a lot of engine!

The shifter between the 893 and 918 is the opposite way around too, so if you don't have electronic shift then you'll need to get used to your gearstick the opposite direction, or re-configure your linkage. But other than that the mounts are the same, they'll run off the same ECU etc.

Thanks for the offers guys, I have had quite a few u2u messages offering various options so am happy that I have a lot more choice now.
I don't know why I didn't put a message up earlier as I've been looking for something for the last 6 weeks!
I'd rather stick with a blade engine rather than something totally different so will decide which offer to go for.
