Viento owners - Shocks and Springs - Help
I am right confused.. and thats not hard for me to do!.
I can not find any reference to what size shocks to fit, and the spring rating and size, ie 1.9" or 2.25" diameter.
The build manual only says "fit the coil over shocks".
What make and size (back and front) shocks, ie Open length 12" closed 8.5" and what rate springs have you fitted to your
Viento's.
I would appreciate some help or info on what to fit. Or even what you fitted.
Thanks in advance

we have GAZ adjustables on ours.
the springs are rated 180 for the back, 300 for the front ( i think its 300, might be 250 ) not sure of the size...
we will be down with the car tomorrow, do you want us to measure and get some part numbers for the dampers?

Thanks, Arent you building a Velocity.
The viento is a fair bit bigger, and I think the shocks may be bigger too.
The Part nos would be helpful.
I think they go something like 130/90 which means 13" fully extended / 9" fully compressed. The open spring length and ratings would be
useful too. I would expect the Viento to be a bit more, so at least I will know what the minimum will be for me.
Thanks

Fully adjustable dampers 14” x 2

Is it marked anywhere on the velocity springs which are the 200 and the 300?
I assume that the 300's are for the front as you have stated they are all for the rear?

Ben,
Generally, higher spring rates are for the front as they tend to have more weight (engine) on them, higher rated springs also tend to have thicker
coils.

Ben,
My springs came marked up with silver marker pen at one end.
Funnily enough i think mine were marked 2x 180 and 2 x 300. Which isn't quite what Luego have said above.
Cheers

Will need to have a look ASAP

Oh Bu**er (butter), I just got 4 x 14" shocks.
How critical is it on the back, and how critical will 2-1/4" springs make? I suppose I could level it out on the adjusters.
Mind you, with me and my boy in it, thats two large lads, with a total of 34.5 stones between us. Maybee I wont have such a big problem with the
thicker springs.
Your comments would be appreciated.
Luego Team, Thanks for the info. Please could you ammend your website, it says 4x14" shocks, and different length rear springs, in the kit list.
