Velocity and locost sizes (please measure)
Once again I am asking a favour.
Please could someone tell me is there a difference in size of grp panels between velocity and locost.....Only the bonnet, nose and instrument
scuttle.
Because I have fitted a standard 711m crossflow and the twin carbs and standard rocker box are sitting proud. i.e i cant fit the bonnet..
Thanks in anticipation

I know that the Velocity bonnet etc is higher than the Locost, i will pop out in the morning and measure mine up for you,(Velocity XT) unless someone
beats me too it.....i think the chassis is the same height and width at the front.
Would do it now but garage is about 50 yards away and i'm in me boxers and it's cold out !!!!!
Ooops, just realised your profile says your building a Velocity, so do you need the locost dimensions instead ?? if so, i cant help !

I can tell you the Velocity nosecone is approx. 10" high above the top chassis rails, and that the locost is lower.

Andy the story goes (yawn....)
I bought a part started kit with a locost chassis and everything I thought I needed to complete the task the majority of which was supplied by
Luego....
Unfortunately, it turned out that the chassis was an MK Locost, some of the GRP (ie: front and rear wheel arches) were in fact Luego, the rear panel,
bonnet, scuttle and nose cone had no receipts so are from an unknown source.
After careful consideration I sold the Locost Chassis and purchased a Velocity Chassis from Luego. I also had to replace the rear panel as that
didn't fit and now because the bonnet will not go over the carbs or the oil filler cap I am worried that this together with the scuttle and nose
cone are another No No.....
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Oh !!
Sounds like you've had fun ???, looks like the cheque book will take a pasting, Good Luck !
You might get some money back by putting your GRP on ebay.......Worth a try me thinks..

Andy,
Ive U2U'd you a couple of times, qnd not had any response. Did you get them?..
Also hows it going.. ??
I am on target for May... but I think its going to be May 2006
I changed my plans... and fell in a money pit.. Got a nice V8 Exhaust manifolds etc in the Luego Xmas sale... too good a price to miss.. so I started
down the V8 road... which turned a bit greasy... and then I slid into the money pit.
Pics are in the archive.. of the blackness inside the engine. Never mind... Its a black car... but the engine is Red now
I have saved a bit of money by polishing my own stainless steel bits..
and lost money... my Melting the Drill!..
I'll put up some photos later.
How you doing with the brake pipes?
