What's the best heater for a Velocity?

Hi Guy's

So what heaters have people used in their Velocity's? Are mini ones any good? If so any tips on the installation method would be very helpful?

Cheers
Rich

Do you want to use it as a heater or just for the demisters ?

Ideally, I'd like a heater for demisting and heating the footwells.

For Hellfire's benefit, I've driven cars before without heaters and when the top's down in the middle of winter on your way to the office, you can't exactly get dressed up too much! How do you know what hairdressers play with anyway?? Are you one by chance??

So constructive points only please!

Rich

Heater

Hi

I have used a self contained unit that fits under the scuttle. It measures 178mm x 190mm x 206mm it was a tight fit but did go in. I aquired mine second hand but I think Europa spares do one.

Hope this helps, pic in archieve.

Keith

Just what I was thinking about the price too. About the right size though. How easy would it be to make one up from scratch?

Does anyone have any plans or sketches??

Would we get a discount for a bulk order? Does Luego supply a heater? There is not mention of it in the build manual though!

H folks,

The mini heater will not fit a Velocity, at least not without a lot of modification or cutting of the skuttle.

So Keith looks like I'll have to follow your lead. So who actually makes it? I know SVC can supply them @ £185 + VAT - anyone know of a cheaper source?

Oh and I now have for sale - 1 mini heater!!

Check out a Reliant Robin and possibly the Rialto they had a flatter heater unit that may be suitable
