Throttle pedal question

I have been fitting my luego pedals the last couple of days and was wondering if anyone has any tips/clues/pics on how they did the return spring and what the end of the throttle cable looks like/how it fits the pedal assembly.
pic here

cheers,

Ned.

Hi Ned.

I'm in the same place as you ;-)

my mate drilled a fine hole through the bar with a dremmel and attached one.

But I'm too shaky for that - me thinks :p

Cheers,

Murray

There are pics in my archive of this... Look under the Luego Demonstrator section. I took LOADs of piccies to help me with my build.. definately got the throttle pedal in there.
My return spring is on the carb end of the cable. Also drill through the upright bracket, and put a Large bolt and a nut either side of the bracket, to make a nice adjustable pedal stop.

best thing to do for holding the cable is drill a hole and buy a go kart throttle kit

its basically a U piece of metal with a slot around it that the cable sits in

you then drill a hole through the bottom of the pedal and fit a clevis pin or nut and bolt not tight through the U piece so that it can have movement up and down allowing the cable to balance itself whilst moving forwards and backwards

Drilled a hole through mine in line with the outer cable hole , enlarged inner end of hole so that nipple end of cable fit. Then cut a slot from top of pedal so that cable slid down into hole . When cable was installed put a piece of heatshrink over top to stop cable coming out .
