RS2000 Alloy Sump in a Velocity

Posted about this yesterday in the Engine/Transmission section but no response hope someone can advise

Have just done a quick trial fit of my 2 litre Pinto engine fitted with a RS2000 alloy sump and bell housing (type 9 box) and I appear to be having 'issues' with the width of the sump.

Where it is wider to increase capacity at the rear it is fouling the chasis......I did not think this would be a problem to fit.......was I wong in thinking this would fit? has anyone used this before in a Velocity? or have I just got some other strange problems?

Would it be possible for someone with a Velocity to let me know the distance between the chasis rails either side of the sump.

Many tanks
James

some pictures might help us understand the problem.

Do you mean your sump doesn't fit between the two rails that you mount the engine off ?

Curious why you're mentioning the type 9 alloy bell housing, is that fouling anything?

Most people get the sumps modified but it seems strange that you'res doesn't fit as that means the sump is wider than the engine.
