R1 loom
Is it possible to use a 5JJ loom on a 4XV motor?? Are all the connectors etc the same?
Cheers

Looking at the wiring diagrams, you may be able to use it so long as you aren't using the bike clocks or fan control - i.e. if you are using
purely the ignition part of the loom. If not, (like me) and you are using the full R1 loom and clocks, you're pretty stuffed!
Hope this helps.....

I had the same prob, when I checked into it, I discovered that the ECU's ignition and mapping are different, so I got hold of a 5JJ loom. You
may be able to use the loom if you have the correct ECU, but I wouldn't know for sure.

Yorkshire engines said that you would need to change the ECU for it to work..... worth giving it a try
Or you have to re do all the wiring
