zetec clutch
Using mondeo 1.8 flywheel, pressure plate and spinner on blacktop 2litre with type 9 box. Two new pressure plates and spinners in three weeks due to
slip. No oil leaks. Has cable freeplay. Getting the flywheel refaced but it seems flat and unridged. Any recommendations for mildly uprated items.

Hm...
I'm using a Dunnell-supplied item - lightened 1.8flywheel + clutch
2000 miles so far without problem...

I still have the 2L flywheel in the garden but it weighs a ton and I know most people use the lighter 1.8 item with no problems. Can't work out
what I'm doing wrong! Possibly pattern parts not up to standard?
As I'm about to start phase 2, 285 cams and head mods I want this weekends engine out for new clutch to be the last for a while!

Is there any play on the release brg?? If its sitting hard against the clutch all the time itl wear out the clutch quickly.
