how fast
i know most taxi drivers (around here anyhow) are fruit cakes at speeding but this is a bit too much.

does this means as the reported speed is incorect he will not be done.
and if he did not inform them and taken the it to a court case that would he of been let off.

Worrying thing is.... if the 'mistake' had said 33mph and not 420 he might have just paid up and taken the licence hit.
Makes you wonder how many other speeding 'offences' are just human error at the scamera companies!
Cheers,
James

I would say he made a big mistake by telling them
By travelling at 14 times the speed limit he would be looking at an instant ban, so he should have asked to be dealt with by the court, defend himself
and state clearly to the magistrate that he does not believe his cavalier can travel at over half the speed of sound and be prepared to offer his
car for independant testing.
Why can they never make a fcukup like that with me.

Me thinks he was a lucky boy. He freely admits the camera went off (ie he was spending.
The mistake was obviously in processing the ticket if it was human error so guesses would be 42, 40 or 20. 20 wouldnt have flashed so he must have
been doing 42 or 40mph in a 30.

---Edit---
I think it said 6 penalty points. Thats 10 mph + usually. Fits.
