VIENTO Self centering

Hi all,
took my viento for its first drive this weekend (on local ind est) and have very little self centering on the steering, anyone else with a viento had experience of this and how did you get round this problem??
I only have one quarter of a turn left on my mushrooms to give it its maximum castor!

IIRC car only has to be seen to self center although maximum castor would help

is it also true that pumping up the tyres to a higher press helps?
Have mounted the wishbones to give max castor as well but is there any other methods of helping??
cheers colin

Some people have tried various means such as toe out and helper springs inside the rack gaiters . If you can drive the car a bit more you may find the ball joints start to move easier which may help

The correct and only way is to put the castor right instead of all the toe-in high pressure bodges!
Do a search on here for information.
My guess is that a modified top wishbone is required, but I don't know the viento setup enough to say how much.
You need 5-7 degrees of castor for not only your car to self centre, but also keep your car stable at speed.

I have the wishbones on my Viento set for max castor. Mine also barely self centres, but it was enough to pass the SVA.

Dial in as much castor as you can and set the mushrooms to help out there as well.

PS... Piccy of The Luego Demonstrator,,, more piccies in my archive!
