clutch and stering column Qs for Viento

I have had my kit about 3 yrs- just too busy to get v far but now I am getting somewhere. My goal is to have it on road for end of year so this summer is going to be blitz-if I can swing it with wife- so far have just got it to rolling chasis and have rebuilt the motor and gearbox. Easter I plan to get fuel system finished and brakes bled. Have ordered alloys (price was big but I wanted black team dynamics) so should be rolling soon.

2 questions:

Slave cylinder connection to master for the clutch- Luigis site covere this well- thanks but would be grateful for advise- will call rally design to get adaptor for male into slave and then plumb it to master via copper or if I am feeling flush a braided flexible.

Secondly I ma just fitting the Sierra sterring column and looks like I need a couple of spacer to bring column forward into cockpit- no referecne in build manual which I find pretty crap- think 2x ali pipes half inch diameter by about one inch long will do it- any suggestions

Clutch:
The nice way to do the slave cylinder is with a single braided pipe. But secure it, as if it flaps around, the Main battery terminal on the Starter motor is not far away, and with a braided hose you could soon have a fire, or no clutch, or even no car

Steering Column:
I spaced mine out with some spare ally I had lying around. Use decent bolts, and washers etc.. you dont wnat it coming off in your hands... A la Keystome Cops style
This is all part of the fun of buildint your own car.

Andy, best to post that meeting with date and time in the events / meeting section.
If its a reasonable time I might pop over, especially if its dry, and I have all the bushes back in.
