Plastic Fuel Tanks
Hi guys.
I would like your feed back on plastic tanks (High Density Polyethylene), what do you think of them? Would you buy one? They will be £95 + VAT.
Thank you in advance, The Luego Team.

What capacity are they going to be?
How do they compare in terms of weight?

Plastic Tanks
Hi guys, the weight will be reduced from the ali tanks, I do not have the exact weight.
The size will be 6 & 9 gallons we may be doing a larger tank for the Viento.
Yes they are PTM tanks.
Would you pay the money for one?
Cheers The Luego Team.

Those that know they can get them direct from PTM himself for less are unlikely to...

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

They would double the saleable price of an avon if fitted.
Sorry tim just a little joke there.
£95 a tank incusive of the fittings ie fuel pick up return or breather, its a good price and i dont think PTM will do them any cheaper.

Just because the tank is unlikely to be seen doesn't mean it shouldn't look good.
Just hope you chaps that have these plastic tanks don't experiance the same problems others have...

Hold on,
There are literally hundreds of these tanks, and the only problems I've heard of are through inadequate venting, the tanks them selves are
excellent quality. All new cars use plastic fuel tanks these days
Cheers

Are these plastic tanks blow moulded? as all production car plastic tanks i have seen are, could you drive a truck over one filled with fuel without
it splitting as volvo once advertised? Would a production car tank split due to inadequate venting?
So can you compare these tanks to production cars?
