Has anyone managed to hammer a Ford 2ltr DOHC with the MT 75 into a Luego Velocity?

is it causing you problems at the moment?

the gearbox should give no problems, but the engine might be quite tall, but i dont thin kits any talled than the pinto - could be wrong...

not sure on engine mounts - EFi wiring shoudl nto be too hard - you will have to keep it cause the injectors are in the head, not the manifold.

Done a dry fit today. The plenum chamber is too high - but don't want to chop hole in the bonnet, drop the engine any lower and the sump will be in Australia

are you set on fitting the dohc ?

125bhp from the dohc, 130bhp from the 2lt zetec.

aside form that...

do yo know nay one who is an alloy welder (?), you might be able to get someone to make you a new one, or possibly chop the old one down a bit lower???

have you got any pics of the inlet side of things?

I think my dad's falling asleep downstairs.. So i'll try and reply for him.

He's pretty set on fitting the engine he's got already and doesn't want to have to buy another one.

He might have photo's somewhere but i'unno... i'll get him to come online tomorrow.

Cheers. =]

Even with a pinto injection and a Viento chassis, you still have the same or similar problem. The injection manifold is tooooo high.
The usual options are:-

Throw away injection and fit 45 Webers.

Throw away std injection and fit mega squirt with bike throttle bodies.

Keep std injection but have manifold modified to fit.

I'm using a pinto and took the last option. Mainly cos I know a VERY nice man called Trev.

I think soeone said that the plenum from the 2.4 Granada version of the engine is much lower - might be worth looking out for one or seeing if anyone knows for sure.
