Any one in Suffolk?

Hi,
Much to the relief of the girlfriend the bike is up for sale, and this years winter project is goin to be a 7 rep.

Pretty much got my heart (and budget)set on building an MK indy.

Just wondering if anyone local to me has one i could take a quick look at rather than having to go to Worksop!

Any help would me much appreciated.

Thanks,

Doug.

Hi Doug,

Welcome to the neighboorhood (this Forum, not Suffolk )

Not got an MK but am building a Luego Locost (not Velocity or Viento). You're welcome to come have a look anyway.

Most people say that the Luego chassis' are slightly better made. I've only seen one MK chassis in the flesh and a couple of Luego ones. My opinion is that Luego is better but then people will just say "that's because you've got one". ATEOTD, I'm no expert having never welded. I suspect that the MK I saw didn't look quite as good as it was just painted not powder coated. As our chassis is powerer coated it looks better finished IMHO.

[ducks back to the Luego part of the forum for cover! ]

Anyway good luck in whatever you choose. Oh and by the way, go BEC (bike engined car) You know it makes sense!

Would love to have a look.

Maybe next weekend?

What are those seats out of? They look pretty smart in there!

Thanks,

Doug.

Seats are Richfield RX1155's 43cm wide and a perfect fit. Although i think i'll need to leave the headrests off for the SVA as they appear to foul the posts. Not exactly locost but hey i like to be comfy.

see u2u message for arrangements.

Well, if it helps I don't agree! Much prefer the Indy and I don't have an MK so I must be better qualified to comment!

Cheers,

trying to stay out of the obvious flame war as i have not seen the luego in the flesh. BUT........

i've had a quick look in luegos pics gallery and i really don't like the look of their wishbones on the front or rear. I guess they are close to book spec but MK's investment in a pipe bender really adds to the aesthetic qualities.

No flame war intended. I didn't actually realise that this was (originally) in the MK part of the forum.

Doug, yes we are still after a fuel pump. Maybe you could U2U me or email with a price you had in mind?
