Brand New 1800 Zetec , Will it fit ?

Found this on the bay of flea for £500, [100% feedback]

"FORD FOCUS 1.8 ZETEC ENGINE MK1 1999-2005 BRAND NEW"

It comes with all the induction stuff and xorst manifold. What would i need to get it running and would the induction stuff fowl the steering column on a 7 type? I know about the water pump, that can be sorted for about 40 quid.

You may have problems if you sva with that engine. i think youl find it hasnt got an engine number..

If its got injectors etc u can use megasquirt to get it running. Type 9 and away you go.

Doesnt help with fitting but just a thought..

Not bought it yet, Apparently it's surplus stock from the production line. I don't know whether they put on a number on the line or after??

My experiance is the engine will have NO engine number and the dealer ship would stamp the old number on to it, if he could be bothered.

A Good 1.8 black top from a breakers is going to be £200 or less giving you more dosh to spend on induction and ignition.

Imho
