Well done Paul, told you not to worry.

How did the drive go this morning, it was rather chilly.

Now just got the DVLA to sort out.

Congratulations

Get onto the DVLA re registration asap, they often work quite slowly and unless you find the person in the office who is used to registering a kit they get a bit confused and ignore your registration....

Nice one Paul - Only a meaningless inspection and a nightmare of bureaucracy separate you from legalised drug taking!

Bet it sounded great - Did you get looked at on the way over

Stopped at a set of road works on the way back and noticed all the workmen stop and look towards the car. Made a very loud sound as the lights turned green.

Fantastic feeling driving the car at last. It seems to corner so much better that my Puma.

Only slight problem is an oil leak from the oil pump housing. Not sure if it’s the copper washer on the bolt that blocks the pressure sensor mounting hole or a crack in the lower housing. Will replace this over the next few weeks, and give it some fresh oil as I have not changed it since I rebuilt the engine.

The DVLA was a nightmare this afternoon. Will go back in in the morning to finish and hand in the forms.

Paul

edit

will post some info on the little things I had to change at the SVA station later - basically two bits of trim and file down a sharp edge

Well Done Paul..

Right... Life with a V8 goes like this:

NEVER look at the fuel pump price gauge at the filling station... just hand over your Plastic to the person on the counter, and accept you are being financially raped.
(Attractive Female Counter staff helps with this thought process)

If you do think about the fuel consumption and prices, just fill your head with those luverly V8 tunes... Thats why you built it. The sound track beats any stereo radio even built. You have an 8 track sound system, older, but better

Remember... your V8 will pass EVERYTHING on the road, EXCEPT a Petrol station.

Its a labour of LOVE, and its worth it any ANY price. Isnt it....

Good on you, and look forward to seeing it.
