Aluminium Chassis for Locost

Just came across "Estfield", an Estonian Locost company.

Seems they do an aluminium chassis - look under "Builds"

Can't see it lasting more than 2 minutes before it cracks and breaks,he will get a bit more practice at welding anyway, with the torque of a S2000 Rescued attachment alum_raam_pun_mootor5.jpg

Good god thats scary...

Thats about the number of tubes I would use for a steel chassis....

An ali one would need a few more...not to mention the issues of strength

Seams to be a lot of welding and joins on joins.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Perhaps he named it 'Estfield' knowing that the 'W' would soon crack and fall off the rest of the chassis

Ok for a show car I suppose but then the welding doesn't look too good from what I can see.

Cheers,

It would be useful to know when it is on the road so you can avoid driving in Estonia for the 2 days before the chassis collapses.

Is it just me that find the front suspension mount ever so slightly scary?
