Progress - Dashboard
I have started to make my dash board this weekend.
I started with a cardboard template and then transfered it to a sheet of plywood.

I then drilled holes ( wonky ones ) for the bright 6.

With a bit of fettling, i then bolted it to the schuttle.

Im still to figure out how to do the 19mm radius along the bottom...
any ideas?

The SVA inspector might not like the size of those gauges. I can hardly read them myself - just image what they'll be like at speed.

Yea, the gear stick is spot on thanks...
one question, the hole in the end of the lever, that fits of the stub ( with a role pin ) is a little loose - what can i do to make it less loose?

For the radius i used a length of domestic waste water pipe -the white stuff, cut along its length and covered with a suitable material such as vinyl
then i just opened up the split at one end and slid it onto my dash.
Easy peasy.
Oh my dash was 6mm MDF.
Just found a piccy of what i mean
dash and paddles
dash rad tube

If its a type 9 box the plastic "saddle" is probably worn , about £1 from Ford.

I used some lagging pipe slit and covered in vinyl. I've taken it off now but it passed SVA and looked reasonable (in fact I think I left it on
for quite a few months!!)....

The roll pin problem of it being a bit slack, I had it as well with my MT75. Take the pin out and spread it a bit, I used a pin punch that was just a
bit bigger than the hole in the pin, bugger to get it out again, but the pin went in nice and tight. HTH Ray
