Small progress report
Well I have been playing with mounting the fuel sender mounting plate that I got from mcerd1 (Robert) [Thank you very much & very nice to meet
you.] and this is what I ended up with.
Sender unit mounting plate
So then I started to marry it up with the fuel tank top, and fit rivnuts (but I ran out of them one saturday, thought I had more but only had 3!. So
got some more today and had a riveting time.)
Mounting holes in tank top
so on sunday I started to make the hole on the nearside inner kick panel so that I could/can fill/check the gearbox oil easily. However the dremel ran
out of battery charge half way through, so all work was suspended until today.
After my riveting time the mounting plate was fitted.
Plate mounted
and then the sender unit fitted.
Fuel sender unit in situ
Now I can do the pressure test on the tank before filling with fuel.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.
