Does anyone agree that safety cars at race meetings are becoming a pain in the ar$e and spoil the race meeting. I have just returned from the BTCC's at Brands and every incident, however small, out would come the SC board and car. This is happening more and more at all events I attend including F1. I used to be a marshall and we would work quite safely under yellow waved flags, drivers knew what they mean't and would drive accordingly. As a competitor I also know what a waved yellow flag means (Danger ahead be prepared to stop) and adjust my driving speed. Cars/bikes these days travel roughly at the same speeds still but now have better brakes and handling. Is this just another example of over cautious health & safety or am I missing the point somewhere. Barry
I remember lots of annoying red flags prior to the use of SC's
With regards to just todays incidents, they were simple spin offs into the gravel trap and easily dealt with by the marshalls.
