Where do I obtain this cam and how much should I be paying for it

Cant recall how much when we bought ours last year, but it wasnt expensive.

As Steve has said ^^. You need to make sure that it has all the identification marks for scrutineers to check. And most importantly ask for it to be ground on a blank.

He has given me a price for Cam, cam lifters and cam lube £222 is that right

NO That's retail price. Tell him it's the kit for the 750 Mc Locost championship and is done at a special rate for the championship competitors. Had one two weeks ago for £135.54 as mentioned to the door.
