Locosts do about 11mpg round a race track.....

Agreed! I found that my normal (race) size fuel tank was good for about 30 mins, although this could be just under or just over, depending on the track.
For a full day test session I would always take 40 litres and use most of it. Petrol at the track will always be expensive.
