Hi,
I'm looking for road legal slicks, I want to use them on the track occasionally and don't want to have to replace them more than every
1500-2,000miles is this realistic? I was wondering what you all think about the following, How sticky are they and how many miles very roughly should
I get.
Colways FORMULA 2

Maxsport RB5

or
Toyo R888
Any opinions welcome
Cheers
Steve
It all depends very much on how you drive... we have had Avon ZV1's on our first car and did about 5K miles on them including a trackday. Granted
they are not a slick but if you get my drift?
We have R888's on now - we haven't used them but generally people rave about the grip and performance under extreme's. However the
mileage is another issue... we have heard as low as 500 miles (2 trackdays) to 2000 miles without (but driven no-doubt very hard )
Watch out if you want to do and motorsport events because the first two are remoulds, and in most events they aren't allowed (rallying isnt one
of them).

have a look at the yokohama ao48's these seem to be pretty good.
If by "slicks" you just mean sticky then try Avon CR500's, damn grippy and will last a long time because they are formulated for sevens
to begin with.
You can also run Avon ACB10 on the road with the right set up.
Yokahama A021R's are grippy, not as good as 32/48 because deeper tread and cut for hte wet. These r=last well and are cheap.
