i was at the same race meeting as this car a couple of months ago. the engine blew and the owner decided to strip the car and sell all the bits off! such a shame. check the date on the scrutineering ticket on the tub - recent!!

Very tempting... a good proect there. What are the rules for the class regarding how original the parts have to be?
Cheap at the moment but i'm sure it'll get a lot more than that, especially as its a Reynard. I would imagine that it's a rather rapid ride with an XE in that little ally chassis!

i think he's already sold the gearbox which is one of the expensive bits

Hewland mark 9 I assume? If he had one of those I think me pa would be greatly interested in it!! Allways wanted one but managed with the VW super v box instead!

Hasn't Reynard Motorsport finished to exist...i remember a program on the box a while ago about caterham, whose new car was designed by them, but it never got finished because Reynard went bust, during the design process, and sold workshop, tools etc...
So is this not a limited edition chassis?
(PS Not trying to hijack the thread )

Whatever happened to Reynard doesn,t realy matter, the floor mounted pedals could be very usefull if not too expensive.

Andy,

the box is reynards packaging of the mk9, basically their own casing which i think uses uprated mk5r gears ot take the power/torque. on the lola the mk9 used to break 2nd's quite often with the vauxhall, david 'lifed' them as matter of course..
