I know its bound to be argumentative, but, there can be no way that the Procomp top wishbone is in the spirit of the rules. Since when has anything
resembling that been in the book.

I don't think you'll see anything like that in the Locost series. That car must be in a different championship as it talks about a CVH
engine.
Having said that, there was some discussion about the Procomp chassis as it was one of the first to change the mounting points so that the front
suspension worked! The "book" dimensions result in a system that doesn't work...
The cars are very heavily scrutineered these days due to past...misunderstandings...but the book rules are relaxed a little bit to allow the
suspension a chance to do it's thing.
What are the changes that you guys to make and why doesn't the existing suspension work?
Thats the kiddy, but, it was on a Locost 750 MC racer for sure.
Kind regards,
Darren
The photos on the Procomp website, and listed above here on the thread are of a 750MC KitCar racecar, and not a Locost racecar. Hence it is allowed
to be very different from ours!
Yes their Locost top wishbone is slightly different, but it has been approved by the technical committee.
Hope this helps

the wishbones your talking about are the original LA GOLD ones. whitch are both camber and castor adjustable. the locost version are only insitu camber adjustable. and yes they are legal as is the rest of the car . any other questions just ask instead of jumping to conclusions whithout knowing what your talking about. MAT.
Doz, I do believe you're talking pants!!!
Procomp's Locost wishbones have been scrutineered and scrutineered and scrutineered at many events over several years without problems. If there
was any question of the wishbones legality you can rest assured that it would have been sorted a long time ago.
I'm told that Procomp's wishbone design is even being copied and sold by people who claim they've invented them!!!!!
I guess immitation is the sincerest form of flattery
