What reciepts do i need to send with the sva application?
Just chassis or chassis engine etc?
I havent got reciepts for the engine or gear box etc.
do you not has ms word ?
I do and thats what i am proposing to do or at least get a reciept book.
Do i need to send the engine reciept with the sva?
hmmm, just realised i have receipts for nothing.... got one for the chassis somewhere. can't remember where.
nothing for the engine, gearbox (though i know who i got the engine from ) axle (those the receipts are somewhere for the bits... coulodn't
tell you where they are though) nothing for the bodywork, suspension, steering, wheels, brakes, etc etc... hmmmm. might be asking a few folk for a few
favours when i get nearer that stage
Receipts are for registration not SVA.
You may need proof of engine age (pre-95) unless you want to have a full cat emissions test.

oh yeah, never have actually looked for the engine number on my engine either... might have to have a look and make sure its got one...
anyone know where it is on a 2ltr ecotec?
i had a row with them today, make sure the reciept you give them has contact details for the company on them, cant be handwritten, they dont accept
that...you need ones for all the major components like engine, suspension, diff, brakes etc...
theyre complete aholes so send photos of the build with them too...
Receipts are required before an SVA appointment is given.
I sent my application off and had a form returned to me along with a request for copies of major build item receipts and optional to send build
photos.
This was because I'd stated it was amateur built which has slightly different regs.
Until I'd sent these back I wouldn't get a test date. Engine age was confirmed at SVA with the donor V5C, if you haven't got it and
the engine is a Ford then Burton power's website has a handy chart for proving engine age which the SVA examiner said he's also accept.
The receipts also had to be produced at DVLA to prove how much of the car was from a single donor to get an age related plate.
Hope that clears things up.
Regards
Nigel
oh and it's inportant to prove engine age as if you can't it's tested under the stricted emissions which means you'll need a cat
to pass I believe.
Nigel
Mine was the same, Wouldn't give me a date until i sent all the receipts plus they required build photo's. They said it was to prove it was
an amateur build as several comapanies have been trying to push their cars through as amateur builds to get a cheaper and easier test.
Cheers
Adam
Photo diary of major stages in the build along with signed copy reciepts of the big bits, kit, engine, wheels etc. Your kit manufacturer should be
able to help.
Pictures with background of your garage to prove you did it are a help too.

just goin through mine and it clearly states that the application must also be accompanied by photocopies of receipts...
Then if they're not happy with that, photo's will be required, so i'm just goin to send both...
right reciepts forgeries i must do then!
