SVA Pass!
Snap-off - 25/11/08 at 12:19 PM

Bloody hell! My emissions nightmare is over!
First attempt, I was not allowed to fiddle with the engine to alter emissions.

Second time, it was so wet the car ran on 3 cylinders when I got to the test station.

Today, I mis-read the appointment letter and went a day early! (although I was told Tuesday be the lady on Friday at Matt.C's test).

Anyway, they were not too busy and let me take the test. Finally passed! Can't tell you all how relieved I am.
Big thanks to Matt.c and all who have helped! Much appreciated!

Congratulations, don't understand why they wouldn't let you fiddle as mine did but nice to get it out the way.

I hope DVLA are as accomodating to you as they where to me

How did you get the emissions sorted? - sounds like you had a bit of a nightmare with it.

adithorp - 25/11/08 at 12:56 PM

Nice one!

Did it pass this time without adjusting at the test?

I had to replace the carbs in the end. No matter how clean I got them, they were touch and go whether it ran on 3 or 4 cylinders.
Also had issues with Lambda. Had to weld the cat to the exhaust can to completely seal it.
Only slight adjustments of the mixture screws to get the within limits at the test.
