Exhaust routing
Chaddy - 18/3/13 at 02:55 PM

Hi All

For IVA will it be ok to route my exhaust between the rear wishbones so long as it can not come into contact with anything through the full movement of the suspension.

Cheers
Chaddy

Isn't there a drive shaft going through there as well? Surely there's not enough room?

It should sit behind the drive shaft, so as to come from the back of the car to the front.

Behind the driveshaft? I'm not sure what you mean? I'd expect the exhaust to go above or below the driveshaft as it passes through the wishbones.

How close to the wheel will it be if it's going between the wishbones?

Hard to explain, it doesn't go through front to back it threads through top to side.

Drawings/pictures might help chap?

To be fair, theres no need to know hes going to do it, the simple answer is, as the OP suggested, as long as nothing can come in to contact with any moving parts, and heat isnt likely to effect brake & fuel lines then you should be fine for IVA.

Cant see why it wouldnt be ok. I have seen some cars with the exhaust where you mention.
