Theres no rules that state this must be rediculasly bright and in your line of sight to the point where you can really see very well because of it is
there?
Blokes put a new is (verynice) dash but the lights far to bright (blue, white when lit) right in the middle of you veiw.
- The switchs have a LED in it, which he's used for everything else (fog on, fan override, etc) but its not been used on the dipped/full
swtich.
I guess i just drove it home in the falling light, and will proberbly not drive int he dark again. But heyho. Somthing to tinker with. Must get onto
sorting a rollbar...
Cheers. Daniel.
5p resistor and some heatshrink should sort that.
I'd go for a full rollcage personally, but that's just me after watching the caterham crash video on youtube.
Yeah, i could just make it a bit dimmer. Or make for the blue tack!
- I was just wondering if there was any rule about where it must be (line of sight etc) or if on the end of the toggle in the center of the dash
would be fine for MOT. I guess it will.
Talking to myself, why never, who, where!!
Mad, yes. Mentaly unstable, hopefully not?
Daniel
So long as you can see it from the drivers seat there's not much they can say, but for IVA it be marked with the right symbol IIRC. Not a
problem if you have a v5c.
Wibble, hatstand, fish curry.
Be easier to stick some neutral density optical filter between LED & lens wouldn't it?
Mine is well bright too. luckily i can change the brightness on the digidash. I did think about just sticking something over the top of the light to
dull it down.
the savage switches bother me in certain weather conditions when wearing lid / goggles etc. They could do with a dimmer on them. When dark and no
street lights the glare is 'orrible, however as soon as you enter a street lit area you dont notice it at all.
