right guys, so ive decided what motor im using, what electrics, chassis and exterior im using, now I need to sort out the interior.
So I know I wanna use chequered ali plate for the floor and maybe have a back box for storage, but should I do the dash in ali or leather or carbon?
and the seat unit, going on the seats used in the grasshopper, its a padded upholstered bench seat.
I was kinda thinka along the lines of using a GRp single seat, does anyone know of any manufacturers that make them to your requiremnts?
the grass hopper also has a roll bar fitted for show, should I keep this?
any advice and input greatly appreciated, even if you pint me in other directions for my interior, ideas you would do any help guys thanks

You are allowed to make decisions on your build for yourself you know

I would put a roll bar on, but would maybe consider making some mods to the design to make it a functional thing rather than just for show.

Seats wise, have a look at kart seats if it's a grp unit you want. Zoomkarts.co.uk have a selection.

I did not think of go kart seats at all, and they would be perfect thanks stevieb
Yea with regards to the roll bar it would just need to be made taller, but for the motor thats gonna be fitted hell never roll it anyway but I like your way of thinking.

we must have a new forum section for these "toy cars"

ref kart seat - get the measurments before ordering, they flare out a lot for the legs, and are suprisingly wide - wider than full size GRP highbacks (i considered fitting one for the passeger in my kit )

I've just finished an ali dash for my big toy car and have ordered a flocking kit from frosts, it was only £17, I hope it works out ok, gotta be worth a shot though at that price. It would be cool to have a flocked dash in the kids car, especially with the carbon body etc.

I'll post my results after I try using it probably next week for everyone to poke holes in, lol

i quite fancy a go at one of them.
the locust website looks years out of date though, the kit price list is dated 1999
where can plans/parts etc be bought from these days? or is it a matter of second hand part built stuff?
