A friend has a Volvo 740 estate for sale for £200 ,not much more than scrap value, it has 10 months MOTand a bit of tax, has a towbar . 2.3 16v engine which runs fine.Used daily and is reliable He has too many cars and one has to go in the next week or so . U2U me if interested

Pretty sure it is a manual, memory isn't what it was. Should have asked, will try to speak to him tomorrow. Car would be in Saffron Walden but could get it to Cambridge area no problem

If it were close I'd be pushing a fella I know with a real shed of a 940 toward it! At the bottom level it could be run till it needs money spent & then you weigh it, if it's decent & you don't do too many miles for the fuel economy to matter you could get years of cheap motoring.

Car is a 1989/90 manual , roof lining in the rear has had it and it has covered 165,000 reliable miles. It has to go to make way for his new Mercedes estate. Previously stated it has some tax but he has only just taxed the car for 6 months so wants to either get the tax refunded or buyer to pay for remainder. Still a cheap car , he wants it go by next Wednesday
