Hi all
I'm still looking for a 3 door Rover 200 / 25 (see here ) and came across
this on
eBay.
It doesn't look too good to me! He also doesn't mention the taped up back window, although he will 'post' for £50.
One to avoid I think!

Is it for a donor or your daily driver?
Neither!
It's to be used as a road / endurance rally car (standard up to 1.4) so a bit of body damage is to be expected but I don't think that's
repairable at a reasonable cost.
Ok...
Bonnet is £280
Slam Panel is £145
Valance is £135
Rad..? £65
Grille is £45
errr...?? Thats ex VAT and spray, so its about a grands worth of work..!
You can get them at auction for £200-300, so its just not worth it !
And also, what is it....??? A 214 or a 216..?? Cos it can't be a 216 with a 1.4 engine as that would involve and engine and MEMS swap... Which
would count it out for enduro...
Cheers

I think that you could do it if you are prepared to do the work yourself. A trip to the breakers and find a rear ended one?
The estimate of £300 is what it would probably cost if you did the work yourself with secondhand parts.

Thanks guys
As Peter says, cost would be prohibitive and I could buy one for less - finding one at auction is difficult though.
Hi
Still have my 216 GTi for sale
130 BHP stock, three door and goes like a bullet with the Honda Twin Cam engine.

Just a thought.

Thanks Mark
I need a 1.4 (I would convert from the K series 1.6 to the 1.4 but not the Honda)

Rover panels are very expensive and hard too find, look for something a bit cheaper too maintain.
Theres loads of them go through auctions for hardly anything at all.

I haven't been to a car auction in over 20 years - are there listings available for cars going through so that I could hunt a suitable car down
somewhere close to home?
