Doune Hillclimb
paublo999 - 21/6/09 at 09:50 PM

another top day for the Vortx

Very pleased with my time and 2.5 seconds faster than I had ever been before. Full points and gets me back on track for the A4 title. Need to win next week at Forrestburn though.

Just need a front anti-roll bar and the car will be absolutely flying

lookout for the Doune 47.30 run and last weeks exploits at Kames where I set a new anti-clockwise record

Cheers
Paul

Well done, nice bit of driving on a very narrow circuit, there's not much room for error there.

awesome!

thanks guys.

Only the start of my second season hillclimbing/competing so hoping that my driving continues to improve.

Up until lunchtime today I was scared of that place. I still have huge amounts of respect for it but not scared any more!

Paul.

Hi Paul - Great time - you certainly looked pleased when you came back down from your last run.

Really nice

paublo999 - 22/6/09 at 11:47 AM

pleased is an understatement

John Hamilton (last years champ) had put in a stormer and I had to find 0.7 which I thought was too much. I managed to find a whole second...

Doesnt do my championship hopes any harm

The ZZR1400 really is a fab engine

Cheers guys

Starting to really enjoy the car now after a difficult start.

Anyone have designs for front or rear ARB's for the Vortx or any other suggestions for improving its performance. I have been told about rotational blades (like knives) that rotate and increase the effectiveness of the arb and are generally used on single seaters with internal pushrod suspension. Anyone done any investigation on this?

I have added a page to my blog where list the cars basic setup - http://ninjabogey.wordpress.com/car-setup-information/

Cheers
Paul.
