INDICATOR STUCK ON
AllWeatherDan - 23/8/12 at 12:39 PM

Hi All,

Set off to work this morning in the Tiger (CAT E! PINTO)

Had to turn around as the right indicator was constantly flashing.

This could not be rectified by WIGGLING (technical term) the indicator stick.

In short had to use the Landy for work today! GUTTED!

Any ideas

Dan

Needs a new indicator stalk? they get full of fluff and crud and the grease goes hard which has an adverse effect on the operation of the switch.

Indicator relay seized?

got to think it's probably one of those

I had the same problem and got myself a can of contact cleaner and gave it a good squirt and a wiggle and it worked

You can dismantle the switch to give it a good clean so long as you are careful and note where the springs go, mine didn't work and i opened it up works fine now

If it's a Sierra switch it's fairly common due to damp getting in the switch, as said try some contact cleaner or maybe even some WD40
