anyone come across this guy before? just want to know if anyone has had dealings with him or know the car?
Judging by his description, and his answers to (what I consider to be) perfectly reasonable questions, I'd say steer well clear!

yea just wanted to make sure i asked him some questions about the car before i traveled half way up the country to view the car only to be told the live axel is also missing!! quite a big point not to mention dont you think and he finished his message with 'buy it or dont buy it im fed up of di@k head questions' so me thinks he will get a message back!
I'd say it would be far funnier if we all asked him 'di@k head questions'
Chris
What a wan*$er. How is it a MK indy but have a live axle?
As above,
Keep away, the seller hasn't even answered the second question.
Why hasn't he included the engine with the car,all he has to do is up the price a little.Looks iffy to me.
I would spend my money elsewhere.
Andy
Obviously knows little about it, I would want to see it and the V5, probably also want to ensure it's not a ringer (no engine will make this
difficult to prove as no engine no.).... Could make it a bargain, or it could be awful and you could end up with burnt fingers!
Dan
looks like a ringer......its way toooo cheap.
We almost got caught with a car that was a cat b write off.
The owner didn't even know he was sold a write-off And this was something he had taxed and moted for three years.....
He broke down in tears
so buyer beware... those are probably not pictures of the car in its present state

i have sent him a reply lol please feel free as chris w suggested to ask him 'dickhead questions'
Dear 3058trevor,
hi thanks for the reply! for your info i have engine and other parts ready to fit and wanted some more info on the car before traveling half way up
the country to view, im also reporting you to ebay for not as decribed as the live axel missing is quite a big point not to mention! with a response
from you like that to my serious questions good luck selling it and your other shit, your going to need it!!,PRICK.
I seem to remember seeing him with other kits on ebay before and looking at the items in his (crap) feedback would seem to confirm he is a dealer. I
know being a dealer doesn't = dodgy but with answers to perfectly good questions like that you can make your own opinion if its someone you would
trust to deal with.
Hmmmm seems like I feel a question coming on but I bet he won't publish it
Gonna send him the link to this thread hahahaha
have you had a look at his other items - they arn't much better....
I don't think he knows or cares much about what he's selling

Live axle points to MK1/2 escort or Capri, sierra's (except the P100 version) are IRS.
MK did make original (uncle ron version) locost chassis with a few mods before the Indy, so it could me an MK (but not an Indy).
Question to the MK fans, does the Indy stand for Independent?

Hey mate,
I had a look at this car in early january. It's in bad condition and needs lots of work. It had a xflow engine which didn't run when I
viewed it. Fibreglass panels are cracked and have gel coat missing.
All I can say is that it needs alot of work, also it looked like it had been out in the wet alot because the floor pan was quite rusty and seats
needed replacing

davie,
The seller is a salesman. IMHO it is not appropriate to call the customer a dickhead whatever questions he asks.
Careful guys don't go OTT could be legit..

I think if the guy is selling and by definition inviting interest in his car then he should
1) Accept and answer to his best ability honestly.
2) Not treat the person who's money you want with disrespect.
3) call a potential buyer a d***head and worse publish so all can see.
So now we are having some fun off the back of his attitude.
All good to me

Couldn't agree more.
But why try to antagonise the guy? Maybe he's having a bad day.

agreed & i dont think any of the questions i asked were daft and would be the exact questions i would expect to be asked if i wrote a advert as vague as that!

Except I'm sure you wouldn't, and neither would anybody else who possessed basic literacy skills and who actually wanted to sell something.

Lewis,
I agree that your questions were normal and reasonable and that the response was exterme and offensive.
The thread and question were reasonable as were 90% of the replies, I was only critisisng the pointless childish bit in the middle.
You have every right to be upset but why others felt the need to flame the seller?
Sorry if you felt I was attacking you personally.
