I have tinnitus in my left ear.
Can anyone with Tinnitus tell me if you use a hearing aide dose it help with your hearing all i can hear is buzzzzing without a aid
Also has anyone used a hearing aid supplied by Specsavers if so how good are they ?
Thankyou
Jacko
I have tinitus in both ears there's no hearing aide as such. But I do use a little device which masks the sound of ringing and is supposed to
help. I do know this. My hearing has not got any worse since
Horrible thing though
I worked alongside a project to put hearing aid tests into a national chain by a third party. we got paid for every test done, irrespective of if it
got a sale. the conversion rate between test and sale is high & the mark up on the aid is huge so they didn't care.
also be careful of a hard sell as the testers only got paid commission on actual sales.
not saying this will be how they work, just what was done for a different company.

A lass at work has just got some little hearing aids for her tinnitus. Says they're brill. She got it all through the NHS and cost her nothing,
she was advised to avoid the specsavers type places as they're only interested in profit.
Get a referal from your GP to see a hearing specialist and take it from there, might be a bit slower but will be better in the long run
