Well, looks like the rumours are true:
Specials
And if they do reform, which is looking likely, only of their first gigs will be in Brighton ..... that'll make my year for sure

nice one.
nite klub in brighton then!
our scooter club booked the "more specials" for a do a few years ago and they were easily the best band we have booked. sadly, their fee is
now (or was when we last looked into it...not sure if they're still going or not) far in excess of what a small local club can afford
looks like terry hall has finally given in then!
Well I'm glad there is at least one other Ska boy on this forum - I thought I was alone!!
Been very tempted to buy another proper scooter recently too - haven't had one for 12 years and missing it .....
I saw Dave Wakeling with The Beat last year, absolutely awesome.
As an aside, can I direct you Ska Boys in the direction of:

Check out the homemade videos on the page. You might recognise the name on one.
The band are always looking to play scooter rallies etc, they're not expensive and most of all they are a fantastic band.
Saw the Specials in about 1979 (a bit of a blur those days) backing up the Police in Vancouver. Never got into the scooter thing, but all that music was/is great. Planet Smashers are a decent Montreal band worth seeing if you get a chance.
still riding a ts1 lambretta (has this one since about 95), but had vespas before that.
take a look on podomatic.com and search for ska. there are loads of dj's posting podcasts - also a good source of rare trojan if you're into
skinhead reggae etc
I had an old Ld150, wish I still had it, it would be worth a mint. I had an Li then a TV175 but then I learnt sense and bought a bike I liked Ska bands like Maroon Five, Average Man was a classic and Bad Manners Bonanza Ska still has me in stitches whenever I listen to it.
