Bike can attachment

OK if I go for a standard zx9r bike can and it has the three studs on the end as below how does it attach to the exhaust? Is it just a push on fit or would I need a flange to fit on the three studs? Sorry might be a stupid question!

Do you have the front part of the can and pipe to go with that? Cut it off short and go from there?

ie this part here

Ah no, considering a std can to use on an exhaust planning to have made up from one I have already. Does the std exhaust attach to the three stud then with that round plate/flange and a pipe pushed into the hole?

Cheers
