can anyone say what oil filter fits the avon with a 2litre zetec? (not much room down there!)

I understand the renault 5 gt turbo is the right thread and only about 60mm tall.

I'm using the Renault 5 one.

R5 turbo on my zetec.

I had a good look around for a decent filter for my Zetec. All the usual suspects were just that - suspect eg using a Renault 5 filter which is M20 on a 3/4" ford oil filter thread - not the best. I ended up using a short but fat filter from a Ford XR4x4 V6 / Cossie 2WD. Ford oil filter code EFL 298.

I found the MANN filter catalogue online to be very useful. You can supply the dimensions you want to use and it comes back with suggestions.

I used one from one of the smaller Zetecs 1.6 IIRC. I just went into the local Ford garage and asked for a shorter filter than the standard.
