Roll Cage Rear View Mirror Question
Chaps,
I fitted my roll cage today and want to fit one of the big rear view mirrors, like the longacre one.
Only thing, the largest size bracket they make is 1.75inch (45mm) but the roll cage diameter I think is 50mm (not sure in inches), so do they fit. Has
anyone fitted one, if not, what have you guys used?

PS - I also need to mount the wing mirrors and need a bracket for this. Does any one have any pics where they have used exhaust brackets (not sure if
they look a bit industrial!).

can't help on the longacre mirror, but for my wing mirrors i put a rivnut in the cage and bolted the mirrors to that, works perfect.
Watching this topic as i also want a longacre mirror, but have the same issue as you.

Cheers for the replies so far.
I wondered about drilling the tube and taping it or rivnut but I thought that the cage wont then pass scrutineering?

Looking at your brackets they are silver and look different to the ones shown on demon tweeks.

Hi Mark, Yes made the brackets myself, they passed the IVA as they are in the photos.

If your still having problems try some exhaust clamps I have used them in the past to hold wing mirrors and rear veiw's on
|

|
