New Loom - Where from?

Any sensible suggestions where to get a new loom from?
Ideally one suitable for racing, ie light and suitable for a master switch.
Thanks
Dickie

You could give 'Alan' at premier Wiring a ring and ask him if he does anything suitable, he already does them for road '7's so might be persuaded to build one slightly different

I would recommend Premier - reasonably priced and Alan is happy to field questions

Premier was the option I had looked at, but I thought I'd canvas some more opinions! I'll give him a bell next week.
Thanks

Thanks Jamie, didn't realise Plays-Kool did them. And I was talking to Paul today at Snetterton (just after taking a very satisfying 10th place)

Hi Dickie, if you don't mind me asking, where did you go for your new loom in the end?

I'm progressing (albeit rather slowly) with my build & want to at least get the front-to-rear part of the loom in before getting too far, and want to canvas opinion on who to use...

Any specific's to watch out for when getting a loom for a racing Locost? Obviously need wiring for the master cut out switch, transponder, rear warning light - anything else unusual that I've not thought of?

What about instrumentation - do you guys tend to have any special dashboard instruments/lights?

Help/suggestions appreciated!
Cheers,
Rob.

I have gone for Premier as above, and should get it next week. Alan was really helpful, and has added bits for me at no extra cost (eg master switch wiring)

Racing loom - add master switch and somewhere to wire in the transponder (it needs power). Perhaps a dash mounted switch for the fan rather than thermostat (personal choice)
Dash is again personal choice, although they all have to be MOT able (speedo, lights etc). Try and visit a race and see the options, but you'll find all the noraml switches - lights, horn, indicator etc on all cars. No pattern to them mind! Most people have shift lights - but I never notice them anyway - a Crossflow will tell you when to change gear, even if you wear ear plugs!

Okay, thanks for the info - I had not thought about shift lights, guess it's just as well to have them, even though engine makes itself known! I'll give Alan a call next week.

I went to the Mallory meeting to look at the cars, but was focussed mainly on suspension, brake lines & under-bonnet layout, didn't really think about the dashboard etc... didn't remember to take my camera either

Rob.
